The Keris Issue Once More

Just had a relatively tough week as students fret exams time. While although I don't think I did too well AGAIN for exams after 6 semesters, I guess I should feel kind of 'elated' since there's no more semester exams for me after this (Pray So!!)

But then again, there will definitely be more exams after this. Professional papers if I am able to secure a job in the next few months or if I continue Master's programme. Anyhow, exams will not leave me alone till the day I meet My Lord in heaven. I guess one of the things He would ask me is 'Glad to finally return HOME eh my son!'

Anyway, I receive this comment from Hilman about my last entry on Ketuanan Melayu and would like to just share with all. In a way, I was surprise that my perseption on certain fraction of our community is wrong. I mean I thought majority Malays would kill me if they know me in person after reading my post (or at least feel like it =p) but I guess many are aware of how our country is heading; regardless of race. Education and exposure has really done a great job to re-mould our nation.

Ketuanan Melayu or Malay Supremacy

Dear readers, I'm so glad this morning when I decided to 'lepak' awhile in cyber space although I'm suppose to be studying in library for my next paper. I was elated and just can't control myself to pen something here which is relevent to my last post.

I'm glad that our Prime Minister finally came out with a statement regarding 'ketuanan Melayu' or Malay Supremacy. I'm happy that the air is kind of being cleared off as non-Malay feels belittled in our on Nation which is the only country we (non-Malays) know actually. Malaysians! We must come to a point where differences which are not critical to nation building must be put aside for a more supreme ultimate aim. To be consistent with my believe, speaking as a non-Malay might not give me enough mileage to convince my Malay Bro&Sis; however, my belief will keep my going and God Willing, help us all who are born on Bumi Malaysia to see the wider perspective of what Malaysia means to all and where are we heading as a nation who prides itself with colourful culture and rich 'flavour' of races and religion.

Being a skeptic and pessimist at times, I hope all this statements which are being put in press such as Hisham (UMNO Youth Chief) apologising and Pak Lah justifying the meaning of 'Ketuanan Melayu' was given in good faith (not for political advancement), People accept it in good faith too, Opposition (no matter from within or without) don't sensationalise the whole episode to create more division and doubting...

Air Borne "Supremacy"

I was looking through my pictures as I was browsing through all the pictures I took this year and somehow this one really caught me as I've never taken such position before (mid-air post)..Woohoo..

Last few days was kinda taxing on me as I got this paper on Historical Thoughts of Economics. Hearing the title itself gives me the shivers as history is so 'dead' and I wonder how can you memorise so many things within such a short time. To make things worse, the lecturer didn't help us in revision or giving tips (as usual). Can you imagine craming everything that has been happening for the past one semester into your tiny brain in just 4 days.

Alright...alright...I admit that not starting earlier than that was my fault otherwise I won't be putting myself into this kind of mental torture, which sometimes just get me thinking; how many times have I told myself to work harder and study consistently after each and every exam passes? What kind of nonsense and crap have I gotten myself into?? I mean here I am graduating soon with a meagre CGPA that would get me a job, but just not the job that I want since I don't have the bargaining power with me. It never seems to amaze me how a wonderful creation by God can be as naive and procrastinate for 6 semester, telling over again and again on the same matter...

As I venture out into the corporate world, I believe this attitude would be gone as time to make mistake is kinda over. Time for speedy grow up or be shout at or BE FIRED!!!

Exam Feva Again & my thoughts...

It's the time of the year again when you fret and hope that time just stand still at times (when you havent finish revision) and it just goes by fast and faster esp. when you are either confident or just too cocky to admit you don't know how to do it..

Well, I'm currently in my office looking throught certain stuff and check mail. Suppose to revise my paper for Monday but seem to be spending a lil' more time surfing on certain 'kepo' national politic agenda and Facebook (which I'm so amature at).

Anyway, was looking at my blog then some guilt feeling came over me coz it's been too long since I wrote anything. Wanted to blog on many issues but exam feeling just hampered the whole 'joy' of blogging. Issues such as Malay agenda, where are Malays heading-which involves how we live together as truly Malaysians. For those of you who are truly looking ahead of Malaysians being Malaysians, check out what Dr. Azmi Sharom (Law lecturer of Uni. Malaya) and Dina Zaman (Star column writer) has to say (I'll try to find the link).

For the pejuang Melayu out there, take not to heart as if you really care on your race and the unity of the nation, we have to look ahead of race and religion which to me has hindered Malaysia from progressing by leaps and bound. Not many will agree with me but I strongly believe that the only way we can love and cherish each other is when true understanding is forge. The nation is doing not bad, but we could be doing much better if the community at large could see that Malay Rights are bounded by our Constitution which is almost impossible to amend (so Malay bro&sis, don't be played by our racist politicians), NEP be reviewed to protect the poor (for now, only Malay elites benefit from it. Poor Malays are marginalised too. Look at Kelantan and Terengganu, why aren't our government giving "equal" development as promise!!).

With regards to all have been said, the other ethnic races in Malaysia should also buck up to sincerely forge Unity through understanding. Be brave enough to voice out the disatisfaction or clear out all doubts and syak-wasangka that clouds your mind. By talking behind would not solve anything, if not worsening the whole situation.

Experience gain by being a Vice President of MPMUM has open my perspective as an undergraduate. But this would have to continue after my exams...

Is there changes coming?

It's been some time since I last post any entry here. Things have been hectic for me. For past two weeks, I've been handling the convocation issue with a few friends in the student council which came to a fruitful discussion and result. Wanted to blog it here but the details would take some time before completing it and I need to prepare for three other assignments. I guess that would just need to take a halt and wait ya.

Dear All,

I am sure everyone is concerned when they heard that Khairy is coming to Penang's State Mosque this Thursday (20th March 2008) for a speech.
What would he be talking about? UMNO? Is this Public Speech approved by the government? How can our Government just approved a Public Speech?
I'm sure he will be talking about Malay Rights. Actually, I don't mind the Malay keeping their Rights. In fact, CM Lim Guan Eng never talked anything like
abolishing Malay Rights. Such as the 5% for Bumiputra, Malay Reserve Lands and etc. In fact, what I see is that the Malays' doesn't have much Rights too.
I have personally talked to few Malays' about this issue. They told me that they have never enjoyed any Malay Rights, they live their like exactly like us.
CM Lim Guan Eng only said to let MPPP Tender go Public and the UMNOs' make such loud noise. Even gathered to protest (last Friday) at Komtar.
Isn't this a clearer way of running a State? Or Country? No more Hidden Tenders' to Projects. Hidding Government Projects actually only benefit those who
have alot of money to give "corruption" to the Government. Those poorer contractors will never get to submit their plans for consideration. How can this be fair?
Does UMNO make noise because they will no longer play the "Demo Game"? Cause they are forced to play the "Real Deal" now? Do they protest because
they are afraid? Afraid or changes?

I cannot believe my ears when I heard that Mamak (Indian Muslims) are putting AIDS infected patient's blood into the curry to be served to the chinese & indians.
So that all we non-muslims' get AIDS? I just can't believe it. For those Nasi Kandar lovers, if you buy what you are hearing today. You should put a hold on to your
appetite. In fact, I personally take Roti Canai for breakfast this morning. Now I am afraid too. What kind of Government is this? Making citizens fear for their life?
Come on, UMNO had their chance for 50 years of rulling. Why can't they just give others a chance, it's only 5 years. I do not want to live in a country with fear & terror!
This is the funny thing about Malaysian Government.

Indians Protest ---> Hindraf
Hindrafs end up in ISA because voicing their existance in this country.

Malays Protest ----> UMNO
No issue, because BN lost in election. Government is pissed off.

Anwar's Public Speech = Illegal Gathering

Is this a Democratic Country? I'm sure you know the truth...
This happens to many chinese, they want things to change but never got themselves to help changing!
Everyone just want to "Think About It", "Talk About It", "Read About It".....
